Under the motto “Every body is worth it.” the photo project deals with society’s ideals of beauty and takes them apart piece by piece. In this ongoing project, photos are created that are neither edited nor stereotypically posed. Instead, photographer and photographed sit down together and first discuss their own self-perception in detail. Once the supposed “flaws” have been identified, they are staged and brought into focus with the help of light and shadow.
In this project, photography is used as a kind of therapy in which you have to deal with your own self-image. The aim is to bring the insanity of beauty ideals to the forefront of society and ultimately to feel more comfortable in one’s own body.
